Valle de Jacmel Benefits from Cuban Literacy Program
MENAFN
The Haitian Secretary of State for Literacy announced that the country's southeastern Valle de Jacmel inhabitants have benefited tremendously from Cuba's literacy method titled "I can do it," Xinhua reported.
He went on to add that the Valle de Jacmel province used to experience a fifteen percent illiteracy rate, however, due to continuous efforts to create more educational centers, the area is almost free from illiteracy.
Furthermore, the government has already established a total of 53 educational institutions throughout the country.
It is worth mentioning that the Haitian government is anticipated to finalize its anti-illiteracy program by the end of the decade with a 90-percent decrease in its illiteracy rate.
