Document Release: Senator Rudolph Boulos Presents Birth Certificate, Denies Rumor of Non-citizenship

By: HaitiAnalysis

Senator Rudolph Boulos, CEO of Pharval Laboratories and a founding board member of a Washington D.C. based think tank associated with the Haitian elite, has denied rumors that he holds no legitimate Haitian citizenship. In late January he circulated copies of a Haitian birth certificate.

In October 2007 Reuters journalist Joseph Guyler Delva, after stating on Radio Melodie FM that Senator Boulos was the holder of an American citizenship, claimed that he believed threats against him were connected with the senator.

In early February Boulos was elected Vice President of the Haitian Senate. This came on the heels of his recent trips, along with five other senators, to Washington, Ottawa and a number of capitols in Latin America where he met with various government officials and foreign government financed NGOs.

Boulos has been criticized as one of the main Haitian elite backers of the destabilization campaign against Haiti's former elected government that resulted in a 2004 coup d'état.

HaitiAnalysis provides below a full version of the birth certificate documentation that was circulated on the 31st of January, 2008.
