It’s likely that you’re reading this Sprout Social review because keeping up with the chatter on the internet about your business is getting tougher and tougher.
Sprout Social, founded in 2010, is a tool developed for making YOUR life easier when you’re in this situation. It’s a social media management tool that gives you everything in one spot… making it super simple for you to keep your social media life at a glance.
But is it worth your time? It’s a paid monthly service, so do you really want to add the extra expense? Well after you read this completely review you just might want to.
Social Media Management on Steroids?
Then, if you’re using social media correctly to promote your business, you want to be out there promoting your business like crazy. Why just watch what everyone else is saying about you? Business is all about marketing and promotion, and Sprout Social let’s you do that easily as well.
So both of these things is vitally important! Analyzing the buzz on the street and then acting on that, by getting across the message that you want to get across.
When you log into Sprout Social, you’ll be greeted with a dashboard that right away gives you a quick, yet detailed glance at what’s going on across the social networking scene. You’ll be greeted with graphs and pie charts, all separated neatly, letting you see things such as your new Twitter followers, Facebook friends, mentions of your business across the social networks, audience demographics, and more.
You’ll also see tabs running across the top which include: Messages, Feeds, Scheduler, Discovery, and Reports!
You can see all of Sprout Social’s features by clicking here now!
Here’s a Run Down of the Features of Sprout Social and Those Tabs Across the Top…
The Messages Tab – shows you all of the mentions of your business across social media including tweets, Facebook posts, comments and even private messages… all rolled into one scroll feed. This is customizable to display only the types of feeds messages and messages you want it to show. You’ll also be able to monitor what they call “Brand Keywords.”
You’ll also have the ability to assign certain tasks to your team members through this area.
Furthermore you can view tweets you’ve sent, and Facebook updates you’ve made. One big thing is that you’ll be able to keep an eye on “Web Alerts”, which are similar to Google Alerts. This keeps you well in the know about what’s being said about your business.
The Feeds Tab – This tab is nice because it allows you to respond to your tweets right then and there, without having to log into Twitter to do so. In this area you’ll see your Twitter and LinkedIn feeds. You can also monitor your Google Reader account from this same area.
I like this because it makes it much easier to see everything that’s going on, without having to log into a ton of different accounts.
Next comes a pretty powerful part of this tool, which is…
The Scheduler Tab – This tab will take you to the area where you can create and schedule Facebook, Twitter, and your LinkedIn status updates utilizing Sprout Social’s editorial calendar layout. Within this area you’ll also be able to connect an RSS feed which will automatically shoot out your social media updates.
This feature is great because it really does save you loads of time jumping from one social media account to another. It will allow you to browse the internet while adding various blogs and web pages to your scheduling line up.
I do realize there are other tools on the market that let you do this as well, but none of these have the analytic capabilities that Sprout Social does.
The Discovery Tab – This is actually a very powerful feature of Sprout Social.
Discovery helps you to carefully select your followers. It will give you suggestions on who to follow based on interactions you’ve had, or even who not to follow or continue following because of inactivity.
Using the “Smart Search” you can quickly search for people to follow based on keywords or key-phrases that your customers might be talking about or focused on.
Unfortunately as of right now, this area seems to be limited to just Twitter. However this is still a powerful feature that will get you some solid and highly targeted social networking friends.
The Reports Tab – Of course one of the greatest things about Sprout Social is their reporting feature. You get to see exactly what the word out on the street (a.k.a. ‘the internet’) is regarding your business.
Sprout Social displays all the info you want to see beautifully with graphs, charts, etc. Very simple and easy to read at a glance, and gives you a clear idea of where you are, and more importantly where you want to be.
Perhaps that’s why huge businesses such as McDonald’s, Fender, Adobe, and even the President of the United State’s 2012 campaign uses Sprout Social.
So How Much Is Sprout Social Going to Cost?
That really depends on your needs. The pricing is structured as such:

Deluxe Account – $59… Allows you to Manage up to 20 separate profiles.
Premium Account – $99… Allows you to Manage up to 50 separate profiles
All accounts are pretty much equal in features. It just depends on the size of your company. Of course if you’re working with clients as a social networking engineer, then you’ll probably want the larger type accounts.
Right now, you can actually give Sprout Social a try for 30 Days, with absolutely no risk If you like it, then you continue with the account that you need, and if you don’t then no hard feelings. You can get your FREE TRIAL by clicking here now!
Is Sprout Social Worth Your Time and Money?
The fact is that if you’re a business that people know about, or if you want to be that type of business, then you need to read between the social networking lines. That’s where everyone talks now. That’s where people share their opinions.
You need to be able to gauge the buzz, and engage to create the buzz. Sprout Social in my opinion is the best tool available on the internet to do exactly that.
